There are so many young – and indeed older – people out there who would benefit from basic ID training and who could eventually become a substantial asset to the botanical world. You could run a workshop or training course for them in your area. This exhibit gives you some pointers to making it a great success.
When I joined the BSBI thirty years ago, there were no books for beginners. So when I retired (from various sorts of teaching) I started writing some. Putting on training workshops for the BSBI in Scotland over the last seven years has helped me to understand what botanical beginners need.
